On the precipice of dramatic growth in the area, the EDC needed to better define its brand and message. candid developed a brand strategy that included a logo, supporting elements and key messages.
The logo includes a graphical element — a stylized asterisk that is designed to symbolize a spur — will allow for flexibility and give way to many creative options in future marketing and collateral materials. In each of the options, the spur is located in the lower left — or Southwest corner — of the logo treatment, since that is where the region is physically located in the county. Each of the five points on the spur represents distinctive economic development opportunities: land, air, rail, retail and services.
