Sara Freetly

Executive Vice President + Partner

Sara discovered her passion for integrated marketing communications while attending the University of Central Missouri, where she received her B.S. in public relations. She launched her career in the Kansas City office of Fleishman-Hillard, where she gained the strategic public relations and national media relations skills she still draws on today at candid.

Before being recruited to North Carolina to lead the Trone PR account team for a national agribusiness client, Sara was with Valentine Radford where she managed the PR outreach for a large piece of Bayer Crop Science business. Prior to joining candid in 2007, Sara served as the Marketing Manager for a regional health care company.

Sara has been active in organizations that drive the economic engine in Kansas City, including the Kansas City Area Development Council, KC SmartPort and the Associated Builders and Contractors (ABC) Heart of America Chapter. She served on the Southwest Johnson County Kansas EDC Board of Directors, is the Public Relations Chair for the Design-Build Institute of America’s Mid-America Region (DBIA-MAR) and is a member of the Society for Marketing Professional Services (SMPS). 

When she is not at candid, Sara enjoys traveling, watching sports and spending time with her husband Jeremy and their fur baby Smokey.
