Design-Build Institute of America Mid-America Region

Twenty-five years ago, a handful of the nation’s architectural, engineering and construction (AEC) industry leaders got together because they knew there had to be a better way to bring a project from design to delivery. They didn’t invent the design-build process, but they set about to perfect it and to share it with a wider audience. They formed the Design-Build Institute of America (DBIA), an organization committed to demonstrating how the design-build process saves money, saves time and ensures accountability.

In late 2017, The Mid-America Region of the Design-Build Institute of America requested that candid perform an audit and make a recommendation for the existing DBIA website. After an extensive audit, candid recommended that the DBIA-MAR website should be completely rebuilt and upgraded to include the following features:

  • Responsive design

  • Revamped and streamlined site map

  • Updated and more user-friendly appearance and navigation

  • Easy event management using custom post types

The primary goal of the new website was to improve aesthetics, simplify content and increase the visibility of programs and events. In creating the new site, candid’s strategy was to integrate DBIA-MAR brands elements, utilize relevant messages for all site content and design a WordPress website that aimed to capture the attention of key influencers and target audiences.
