City of Edgerton

In 2011, the City of Edgerton, Kansas was looking for a fresh new brand to accompany with some major changes that were happening in the city — particularly a huge commercial development project that would dramatically change the face of the small community: Logistics Park Kansas City.

Edgerton is progressive and thoughtful. The logo is original, not typical, and unique. The mark represents Edgerton with a small green square pulled out for the representation of the city in the SW corner of Johnson County.

The City of North Kansas City, Missouri engaged candid to create a unique brand identity and memorable message to reach a broad and diverse audience. The objective was to increase brand recognition among a younger demographic to position NKC as an alternative area to live in the Greater Kansas City region.

City of Smithville

candid conducted a comprehensive citizen survey and produced a detailed Community Insights Report™ with demographic information, tapestry studies, economic development opportunities and in-market findings for the City of Smithville, Missouri.

candid synthesized insights from the research phase to create the brand position narrative, tagline and the brand identity. Language in the brand position set the tone for all marketing communications efforts and the brand platform was designed to be used as the baseline for the creative concepts.

Downtown Lee’s Summit
Main Street

Upon completion of a Streetscape Project in 2008, Downtown Lee’s Summit, Missouri selected candid to develop a brand that would communicate what made the unique shopping area special — not just with the people who live in Lee’s Summit — but throughout the Kansas City metro area. 

candid achieved the objectives by creating a long-term, multi-phased brand positioning campaign that articulated the vibrancy of the Downtown commercial district and desirability of the shops and restaurants. It has been recognized locally, regionally and nationally.
