Core & Shell Building Co. was entering the Midwestern construction market and needed messaging and branding for their new company. For this project, candid identified the messaging, tone and brand language that would be used across all marketing platforms for Core & Shell Building Co. Shortly after entering the Kansas City market, McCarthy partnered with candid to increase exposure, awareness and elevate its position among building decision-makers in the industry. From coordinating press events at the National Bio and Agro-defense Facility (NBAF) to designing interactive booth space at KC’s SIOR Development Day — along with ongoing PR and advertising — candid continues to help the nationwide builder expand its footprint in this area.

Elevare
With new leadership, a local construction company was looking to rename and rebrand. This 20+ year-old company had many relationships in the local market, but was looking to expand its footprint into other markets. Through much research — and many conversations with key stakeholders, customers and employees — a new name, brand position and creative platform was presented and chosen.
The phrase Building Beyond Buildings evokes the desire for the newly named company to have an increased relationship with clients and internally with the team-building relationships and reputation while moving beyond the technical (constructing buildings) to create deeper partnerships.

CBC Real Estate Group
In 2014, candid was selected to position CBC Real Estate Group (CarrBaierCrandall) as the expert resource across all segments of commercial real estate using high visibility marketing channels – including email, direct marketing and public relations. We have continued and expanded our relationship over the years, still serving as CBC’s marketing partner for website, new business pursuits and other design projects as necessary. Our partnership also extends to CBC’s sister company — US Federal Properties.

ABC Heart of America Chapter
With a dynamic new President at the helm, the time was right for the ABC Heart of America Chapter to polish its image to create consistent and cohesive messaging and materials. To do this, candid worked with ABC to develop freshly branded materials for digital and events.

Erlen Group
For this project, candid concepted several name and brand elements to bring five current companies under one growing holding company brand. The name was taken from the town in Germany where the owners’ family came from — Erlen. For the design, the mark represents pillars in the underground, upward movement and a nod to the Alder tree (what Erlen means in German). The color palette is a collection of tinted neutrals with a pop of green. It was important to keep the colors tied back to nature with the origins of the company.

Ümlaut Industrial
Ümlaut Industrial is a full-service transloading and warehousing provider located in Springfield, Missouri. The direct connections with BNSF Railway at two different sites — above and below ground — allow non-rail served businesses to take advantage of long-haul cost efficiencies by using rail. For this project, candid named and branded the new transloading company. Playing off the owners’ German heritage, the name Ümlaut Industrial was selected. The branding is clean with a complementary color palette that is vibrant and saturated. The mark combines the “U” of Ümlaut and “I” of Industrial.

Lime Light Development
Lime Light Development develops well-planned surface industrial parks targeting manufacturing, warehousing, Third-Party Logistics providers and e-Commerce. For this project, candid named and branded the new development company as well as the company’s surface parks. The branding is clean and fresh with a cool color palette. The mark is made up of two “L” shapes coming together to create a space.

Benson Method
Benson Method engaged with candid to refresh and standardize its current brand. Working with the team, new imagery and graphics were created to highlight everything Benson Method has to offer clients. The toolbox of materials we developed includes templates for bios and project sheets, as well as a graphic icon set that can be used across all materials. The website was also refreshed with a new layout and imagery.

EPC Real Estate Group
candid works with EPC Real Estate Group to help create materials to promote their projects. Some of these projects include an interactive web-based report that highlighted the past year’s successes. A graphic with data facts was created to send via email and linked back to the report. We have also helped create a brochure to use for new pursuits. This includes firm information, resumes and project profiles.
